Annapurna Base Camp trek is a complete amalgam  of adventure and beauty seared with the textures of endangered flowers and animals.There is just so many things this single trek can offer offer. For this reason, it remains one of the most chosen trekking destinations in the world.

You will get to stroll through the beautiful  rhododendron forest as you pass by  gushing rivers. You will get to watch someterraced farmlands on your way to the base camp and world’s highest peak. Getting a warming bath in the hot spring will be an ice to the caking.

There are plethora of mountain ranges that shall accompany you throughout the trek. Montain ranges , namely, Mt. Gangapurna, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Machhapuchhre will keep you grounded. The best of the views of these mountains can be enjoyed from Annapurna Sancturay. Past the Magar and Gurung villages, you shall get opportunities to experience different cultures from your firsthand observation.

This trek covers a 12 day itinerary which starts from your arrival in Kathmandu. You will also get to spend a day watching some beautiful attractions of the valley. The very  next day, you shall fly to Pokhara.

 Drive of an hour from there takes you to Naya Pul. Then you shall start trekking towards Ghandruk, the beautiful village on a slope inhabited by Gurung community. Next day, you shall make to Chhomrong Village, and then another day takes you to Bamboo Villlage. Walking through the dark, cold, and damp trail in the bamboo forest, you shall reach Deurali. Next day you shall reach to the Annapurna Base Camp.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by Ace Holiday Trek's representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can either rest from your journey or take a stroll around the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to get a feel of the city's cultural richness.

Day 2 : Sightseeing at Kathmandu

Popularly known for its  art, architecture, culture, and temples,there are so many things Kathmandu can offer to you.  There are some UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, and Basantapur Durbar Square you might fancy a visit. You can entertain yourself with some  shopping for your trek in the afternoon. After a brief  orientation session , you can rest at your hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara 860 m (220 k.m.) - 06 hrs. Journey.

Set out on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city nestled against the backdrop of the Annapurna and Machapuchare mountain ranges. The journey takes approximately six hours, offering glimpses of terraced fields, traditional villages, and stunning landscapes. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can enjoy the serene ambiance of Phewa Lake or explore the Lakeside area.

Day 4 : Drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk village 2,050 m - 04 hrs.

Drive to Nayapul and commence the trek to Ghandruk village, situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters. The trail takes you through lush forests, terraced fields, and charming Gurung villages. Ghandruk, with its traditional architecture and mountain vistas, provides a cultural and scenic introduction to the trek.

Day 5 : Trek to Chomrong village 1,951 m - 06 hrs.

Trek to Chomrong, passing through rhododendron forests and picturesque landscapes. Chomrong, located at 1,951 meters, offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare. The village is a gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary and the base camp.

Day 6 : Trek to Dovan 2,130 m via Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hrs.

Descend to the Chomrong Khola and then ascend towards Bamboo, trekking through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests. The trail continues to Dovan at 2,130 meters, providing a tranquil stop surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 7 : Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720 m - 06 hrs.

Continue the ascent, passing through Himalayan landscapes and picturesque Modi Khola. Reach Machhapuchare Base Camp (MBC) at an elevation of 3,720 meters. The stunning views of Machapuchare (Fishtail) and other peaks create a mesmerizing atmosphere at the base camp.

Day 8 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m - 04 hrs.

The trek continues to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4,130 meters. As you reach the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, you are surrounded by a natural amphitheater of majestic peaks. The panoramic views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and other peaks make this a memorable destination.

Day 9 : Trek to Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hrs.

Descend from Annapurna Base Camp, retracing your steps through Machhapuchare Base Camp and Dovan. The trek takes you through diverse landscapes, and Bamboo at 2,050 meters offers a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 10 : Trek to Jhinu-Danda, a place with hot spring 1,700 m - 06 hrs.

Trek to Jhinu-Danda, a charming village with natural hot springs. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs, providing a rejuvenating experience after the trek. The village is set against a backdrop of terraced fields and lush greenery.

Day 11 : Drive back to Pokhara, afternoon at leisure for individual activities.

Descend to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. The afternoon in Pokhara is free for individual activities. You can explore more of the city, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax by the lakeside.

Day 12 : Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Take a scenic drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for relaxation or exploring more of the city.

Day 13 : Departure

On the final day of your Annapurna Base Camp trek, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure. With memories of the stunning mountain vistas, cultural encounters, and the sense of accomplishment from reaching the base camp, you bid farewell to Nepal, carrying with you the experiences of a remarkable journey.
