Overview

Located at the Sagarmatha region, of the eastern Nepal ,Meera Peak is one of the interesting peak Climbing destinations in Nepal . The peak is relatively easier to climb for the trekkers and the climbers as it stands at an altitude of around 6,476 meter. Nepal Meera Peak is an interesting and fascinating destination for peak Climbing in Nepal as it contains three major summits, namely: Meera North (6,476 metres), Meera Central (6,461 metres) and Meera South (6,065 metres) as well as a smaller trekking summit; visible as a distinct summit from the south but not as marked as on most maps of the region.

The venture towards Meera peak begins with a mountain flight to Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla from  Kathmandu, the capital . After a 35 minutes flight among the scenic views of beautiful   mountains nearby , we will reach the Lukla Airport . It is from here that the climbing venture begins. Alternately, you can also embark on Meera Peak all the way from Jiri to Lukla. On your way, you might as well enjoy the fascinating walk along the old Everest route.

There are various ways of reaching the Base Camp apart from the usual easy. If you want to view the panoramic views of the Himalayas like Kanchenjunga, Makalu, the High Camp is a perfect retreat. Additionally, the northern part of the peak Meera, is also known to be a straight- forward route for climbing.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu:

Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, our team members will welcome you and explain briefly about the travel itinerary. You will then be taken to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day 2 : Flight to Lukla:

On the second morning, you will board a flight to the Lukla Airport, also commonly known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. It is a wonderful mountain flight and the flight itself can be no less than an adventure as the airport is enlisted as the most dangerous airport in the world, given the location, altitude and topography. In less than 30 minutes, you will reach Lukla while enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains during the flight. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Lukla.

Day 3 : Trek to Thaksingdingma (3,500m)

You will ascend gradually through the jungle. You might as well learn that there is  no human settlement on the trail to Thaksingdingma. You will reach your destination to Thaksingdingma (3,500m) for Camping. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 4 : Day 04: Trek to Thagnak

Thagnak is not an easy trek as you have to prepare for walking all day through the side of the mountain. It is also important to learn that the  trail that leads to Thagnak is a little narrow. The areas of the tropical forest on the trail turn will be e thinner as you climb close to the snow line. Overnight stay at a tented camp at Thagnak.

Day 5 : Rest day in Thagnak

The next day you will spend at Thagnak, resting and acclimatizing as per the promptings of the situations. We are pretty sure that you wont get bored as you will  spend an extra day at Thagnak. This is a potential  location abounded with breathtaking peaks sincludingPeak 43(6769m). It is important to explore near for the purpose of acclimatization. Thagnak is the base for climbing east and north-east side of Kushum Kanguru. Overnight stay in  a tented camp

Day 6 : Trek to Khahare (5,099m)

You will travel across the lateral moraine of Dig Glacier to Dig Khraka . There you will get to see all  stunning views of Glaciers and afterward you are going to climb more abrupt trail to Khahare ( 5,099m). Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 7 : Trek to Base Camp (5300m)

You will have to climb at least for three hours to venture the trek to Base Camp (5300m). Then, you will reach your destination at Mera-La (5415m). The pass will be usually seared with snow during the months of November to April. Again the views from the pass are impressive. You will move down about 100m on the way to the Hogu Side and prepare for the Base Camp (5300), below the ice.

Day 8 : Day for Acclimatization:

This day might as well be considered a  rest day for acclimatization. You can further explore around or climb up for a few hour. Then  again you will have to come back to the Base Camp for the night. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 9 : Trek to High Camp

After spending a day  for rest and acclimatization, the next day we will be trekking to the High Camp. After almost  four hours of trek, we will reach the High Camp. Overnight stay at tented camp.

Day 10 : Trek to Summit

We start our trek early the next and reach the summit after a few hours of trek. The views of Pumori(7161m), Lhotse (8516m) Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu ( 8201m) are spectacular from the top. These are the most fantastic view sthat you can see from the summit. Again after the trek we will be go to the Base Camp.

Day 11 : Trek to Meera Peak Base Camp- Lukla

Somewhera around  11th to 16th days of the itinerary, you will spend your time in scaling the Meera Peak Base Camp. After exploring everything all over you have to return from Meera Peak Base Camp to Lukla.  Meera Peak Base Camp with its spectacular beauty will be something fro you to remember all your life. Meera Peak Base Camp- Lukla. We follow the same route and come back to Lukla. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 17 : Fly back to Kathmandu

On the 17th day of the tour package, you will board a flight back to Kathmandu while enjoining the 30-minutes of exhilarating mountain flight. You will spend rest of your time in  Kathmandu,  shopping and buying souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 18 : Departure to TIA, Farewell

On the 18th day of the  package, you will return to your country via the international Airport in Kathmandu.
